2026
IfWeBuildIt.org began as a simple grassroots, volunteer-driven effort to build a baseball field.
It has grown into a proven model, showing that when you build spaces for play and community, you also help the next generation shape their own future.

Build. Play. Grow. is now the framework that guides how we create opportunity through sport and community.
Since launching our grassroots campaign to build a baseball field in 2021, IfWeBuildIt.org has expanded access to baseball and softball across Kenya and East Africa by creating safe places to play, structured programs to learn, and clear pathways for young people to lead.
Through leagues, tournaments, clinics, and community events, we have reached an estimated 7,500+ youth to date and provided tens of thousands of hours of play.

Grow Nairobi Little League and youth play across Kenya

Hire full-time staff to strengthen operations and youth leadership development

Make catalytic investments in fields across Kenya and the continent
Additionally, we're working to complete the Field of Dreams complex at JKUAT and we are looking for partners and sponsors to help us with the following items:

Build a community pavilion to support operations and education efforts

Install onsite renewable energy and electricity

Bring water and washrooms to the site

Build a simple backstop for Field 3, our bonus Little League and softball field.
Beyond league play, we anticipate our fields will serve 2,500+ youth in 2026 through tournaments, skills clinics, training programs, and community events, each designed to ensure equal access to play, opportunity, and leadership.
At its core, If We Build It has become a vivid example of what happens when you give dreams a place to play.
