The "Nairobi Field of Dreams" is IfWeBuildIt.org's pilot project.
IfWeBuildit.org is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, based in the U.S. and Kenya.
"We" are a volunteer-run and community-driven effort working to build the first baseball and softball fields near Nairobi, Kenya.
We believe in the power of collaboration to engage and unite communities through sport, building sports infrastructure and improving the lives of young people.
As "we build it" we're growing the game and creating spaces where dreams can come true.
If we build it, anything is possible.
Our Initiatives
We have a number of focus areas that have grown from our efforts to build fields for dreams to come true.
#IfWeBuildIt
Building fields for dreams to come true
We're working with one of Kenya's leading Universities in the Nairobi area to develop 10 acres into East Africa's first baseball and softball fields and the first multi-field complex in sub-Saharan Africa outside of South Africa.

#WeWill Play
Fostering community through play, practice, and performance
We believe a strong, collaborative community is an essential part of baseball and softball infrastructure. Our approach helps grow the game even more by building collaborative partnerships to increase skill development and regular play.

#SheWill Play
Access to baseball and softball for women and girls
Baseball and softball can teach young girls and women valuable skills and lessons. By increasing access to these sports, we hope to help empower girls and women to be confident, strong, and successful both on and off the field. We also believe modeling equal access helps young men learn the value of inclusion and team work.

Baseball is alive in Kenya. Help it flourish.
